Liberty Baptist Church began in July of 1976, when a small group of local believers gathered with a shared desire to follow Jesus together and see the gospel take root in their community. What started as a simple meeting soon grew into a flourishing church family, marked by faith, sacrifice, and God’s faithful provision.

Through seasons of growth, challenge, and miraculous provision—including God’s leading to our current Newport Beach campus in 1998—Liberty has remained committed to proclaiming Christ and serving others. Today, that same mission continues through weekly worship, gospel-centered teaching, Christian education, and intentional community through ministries, events, and community.

Our mission is to share the gospel, grow together in the gospel, live the gospel by serving others, and to connect through the gospel—trusting that the God who has been faithful in our past will continue to lead us into an even greater future.
